Here's a review for our homemade Lip Balm:
Some of the ingredients were hard to find, such as the beeswax, and the empty tubes. It is easier to order them online. Also, we found that the crayons made the lip balm come out a little greasy. We suggest using very little or no crayon when making at home. The ingredients melt faster when stirred constantly. Be careful when using the double boiler, since it can be easy to overfill. Pouring can be messy, so be careful! Use hot water to cleanse the boiler- cold water will make the mixture harden and stick. For faster setting, leave the finished lip balm in the fridge.

Lip balm recipe
Heres a great new lip balm recipe I found:
For firmer lip balm:
For the firmer lip balm:
1 tablespoon of beeswax
1 tablespoon of coconut oil
1 tablespoon of cocoa butter
1 teaspoon of sweet almond oil (or can use olive oil)
15-20 drops of peppermint essential oil (this recipe I also make without an essential oil as the mixture of the cocoa butter, coconut oil, and beeswax smells wonderful together just as it is).
For softer lip balm:
For the softer lip balm:
1 tablespoon of beeswax
1 tablespoon of sweet almond oil
1 tablespoon of cocoa butter
1 tablespoon of olive oil
5-10 drops of honey almond essential
If you put in half a crayon it will give it color!
Your suppose to leave it out overnight and let it cool for 10 hours but we just put it in the freezer for a few hours.
We'll keep you updated on the lip balm.
Ta Ta for now~ SST
